I was lucky enough to find the Regimental Journal for the action. It doesn't make for great reading. The line was held and the Finnish/German advance did not take the main objective - The Murmansk Railway, but the cost was high.
The following losses are for 5th to 8th July 1941.
KIA,
7 Command Staff (Officers)
20 Junior Command Staff (NCOs)
64 Soldiers
Wounded,
20 Command Staff
19 Junior Command Staff
135 Soldiers
Missing In Action,
2 Command Staff
2 Junior Command Staff
16 Soldiers
Horses, 331 Lost, 30 Fallen.
Lost Equipment, 5 76mm guns, 3 122mm M1910/30 Howitzers
Awards were handed out exceptionally sparingly and for the first 6 months of action the entire Front was awarded the following; Orders; Lenin - 6, Red Banner - 94, Red Star - 75. Medals; For Bravery - 82, For Combat Merits - 10.
