This one doesn't neccesarily fit here, but it proves that fakes and fantasy items existed even when the USSR was in full power. According to the caption, this photograph shows a polish militiaman who played a soviet officer in the amateur theatre play. The gimnasterka seems original (possibly post-war) but the helmet is probably modified polish army headwear and the boards were selfmade. No date given, but likely 1960s.
