Way, way back in Stone Age times when the Nautilus was de-commissioned, I knew a guy from the Mossad. Well, he didn't show me an ID card, of course, but it was understood that he was. He is long since dead. He approached me (why me, I never could figure out) about buying the Nautilus "only for a museum". Yeah, right. A museum for live nukes, maybe. I'm sure he never envisioned the day when you could just buy one on the internet. I know I didn't. No sale.
On a slightly smaller scale, if you have the cash you can buy brand-new T-90s. Supposed to be the world's best tank and maybe is. The Russians can't afford their own equipment but they can sell it abroad. No, they're not on Ebay, but they're available. Just ask the Indians and Pakistanis.
And, of course, there are several other electric and nuke boats for sale in the world and the Russians are even offering leasing terms on "pre-owned" subs. It just gets curiouser and curiouser.
