I like combining the two programs, maybe the awards at the first and second levels of the $50 program can have a little gold glow around them or something, just so they look a little different from the others. This way, when participants of the $20 program hit the first level of the $50 program, the graphic will be a little more ornate than the rest. Just to set it apart from the others.
The single award I think should be something separate from the years donated award. I think the people tat want a single award should get something unique too.
