I have opened here a specific thread dedicated to the Museum of the Defence and Blockage of Leningrad :

I paid it a visit during my short stay in St Petersburg, and I can only recommand to spend here a while.
This museum opened just after the blockade was lifted, and in its actual version, dates from 1989.
