Please can anyone advise with reference to these two items. The one I think is a Border Guards Badge (??????????).

The cavalry badge (?) is approx 4cms deep by3.5cms wide. Screw back fixing with no apparent markings. Blue and red enamelling onbrass. Inscription reads "ОСОАВИАХИМ СССР".

The other item is 4cms deep X 2.5cms wide. Hollow-backed - I think brass - with the letters "ММД". Fixing is by means of two tabs on rear of badge.

Would be grateful for identification and also time period.
