Fake Medals for Victory over Germany and Japan
#15
Nack Wrote:While fakes of these medals do exist, I've never seen one, so I don't know what to look for. I have seen medals with felt-backed suspensions before, but I don't know exactly why they turn up this way. My guess is that it a veteran thing. They did make millions of these, so the odds are good that your medals are kosher.
wel, the problem with the theory of the veterans (something i considered) is that the ribbons are wrapped the wrong way, and they aren't wrapped, they ae glued to the suspension, the suspension itself is a crudely cut smaller than normal 5 sided. and the front of the ribbon is rater yucky with glue that has seeped through the years? months?

i am pretty sure it is not a veteran's set, but then again anything is possible!
