Many moons ago, I had to figure out how to store all the stuff that I was picking up at the market. There were not too many selections out there and most were somewhat expensive. So I came up with this poor man's design. It was relatively inexpensive and useful for my situation since my job in the military requires me to pack up and move every a couple of years.
The cardboard box are 12 x 10 x 1.5 inches, I cut out an area and tape a piece of clear plastic from a document cover so I can see what is in the box. I had plenty of foam from work to pin the medals, orders and badges. As you can see it worked out pretty well for me. These boxes fit nicely in a filing cabinet so I can keep them locked up when ever I am away. I've mailed these boxes back and forth a few time too.
Since I'm getting ready to relocate again, I got to do a quick inventory for insurance purposes. Here are some of my collection.
Oh, there are a few 'fakes' that I purchased knowingly to 'complete' the set and some that I 'thought' was original...see if you can pick them out.
