Yes, 2 Order of Lenin....I was on bread and water for a few months for some of these purchases...Luckily, I wasn't married at the time and even more lucky, my wife tolerate my collection....because she knows she'll get half of them if we divorce. My collection has save my marriage on few occasions because I didn't want to split them...ha ha ha. Just kidding folks.
Alright...actually not the last photo. All these boxes fit nicely into one foot locker for the upcoming trip. I think I have enough stuff left to fit into another foot locker.
When I started collecting, I collected those plastic pins with Lenin on them. I did not realized how freaking many of them there were out there so I started to collect the brass/enameled Lenin pins. Then I branched out to Soviet medals/orders/badges. When the market dried up and more good fakes came out to the market; my Soviet collection came to a grinding halt.
I have some stuff from the former Yugoslavia and Afghanistan but have not have a chance to catalog them or put them in cases....I don't think they make these boxes anymore. I may have to make them myself.
As for the Order of Red Banner #3, I had a member of this forum look at it and he believe that it is ok, the #2 he didn't like. When I get re-established at my new duty location, I'll scan them for your viewing.
Hope that every one enjoy the photos. Some collectors don't like to post their stuff for security reason, but I hope that you will share your collection with others.
