In April 1944 edged weapons production along with metallurgy and few others were moved to new plant number 391 of People’s commissariat of Ammunition. Plant 391 received name Zlatoust instrument- metallurgy plant (Златоустовский инструментально-металлургический завод) with manufacturer’s trade mark IMZ. In 1946 both plants 259 and 391 were merged together and transferred to People's commissariat of agricultural machinery (Наркомат сельскохозяйственного машиностроения) and name and makers mark were restored back to ZIK.
