I apologize why in my preceeding post I forgot the image.
Here is it.
From the beginning, my target was a good quality medal, but a COPY and I've never tried to sell them as original.
Hence, the serial number is to give the "look" of the original one that is appreciated as collector. For a collector it is a testimonial of a historical time. When I look the medal I can think to the time when the medal was awarded. The writing COPY in foreground disturb my mental reconstruction.
So I think to put a new sign, but I think the serial number is "a must".:o
