To All Interested,
I have a question concerning the color of the official seals or stamps you see on award documents and order books. Why are some seals blue in color and some red? Are the red seals an indication of NKVD - OGPU - SMERSH - State Security type affiliation? The blue more of a military affiliation?
Or is it just the color of the ink stamp the official had available at the time of recording information in the book(s)? Any insight into this question would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!
