Is this one of the pinback varieties backed with brass that you can't open and move ribbons around on...or is that very act forbidden? I'm not trying to make light of anything here; I really don't know the rules for ribbon bars the way I do for, let's say a BM with a nice heavy patina (i.e. don't polish it).
Regardless, I'd eventually love to see one of these on a uniform. But if I recall your posts about uniforms from a while back, these guys didn't often wear special uniforms and you had to just sort make logical assumptions based on the medals and orders they had as to which department or branch they worked, no?
