Something is either fake or real. If real it is worth the cash. If fake it is not worth the story.
Where are the Jubilee Medals?
The best way to find out how a Naval commander was awarded a Medal "For The Capture Of Berlin" would be to research it.
Sure, that true. The only thing I say is that I bought his collection because of a couple of orders of which I know they ore original. I don't even collect uniforms but it came with his collection. Now I'm doing some investigations because I want to know what uniform this is and if the awards go with the uniform. That's it. And yes, I'll do research on this person. ;)
CtahhR Wrote:If he is naval and he is there that would be due to a OPW'85 which would mean this is not a complete set. If he did get an OPW'85 it would mean he got all the other Jubilee awards and if so it would be VERY fishy that they were not on his uniform and the awards that are currently on his uniform are not part of the larger group (wherever that may be).
His opw's are not the 85 versions. He could have died in 1948 for example...

How do you mean you couldn't figure out his name? The handwriting you mean?
