Help identifying this dug blade

I also found reference to NR40 on internet (including a nice wikipedia page), but since the marking didn't match, I just assumed it was something totally different. But the dimensions seems to match the NR40 type of knive.

I wonder if I should try cleaning a bit of the oxydation on the blade to read the full marking.
