Oh, god. Don't open up the shades of blue piping debate...

It's OK Jeffrey, I really don't want to go there. The original subject on the table is about the color of the band on WWII period NKVD caps, unless I'm lost too.;) I only brought up the 1950s stuff because I keep seeing so many of them lately claiming to be MGB and the only thing they have in common is the red/brick red hat bands. If I knew more about uniforms and headgear so as to know where to put them, I'd post pictures of what I've seen for sale.
