To attach photographs you just click on "manage attachments" select your jpg (size no longer matters - the forum software will do all the work for you) and click upload. Limit 3 pictures per post BUT there is now a larger file size allowance so the forum's software will compress your file for you - just not as much.
Now the second idea is a very good one indeed.
Send me an email (click on my profile and send email) and I'm sure we can have the articles section back up and running by the weekend.
