not a good ideea about contacting the Moldovan Ministry Of Justice. is ilegal to sell the medals in Moldova. the owner might get in trouble.

Time will tell what sort of reply I get but hopefully they will be able to at least point me in the right direction. This medal is almost certainly an award for Bravery during the Moldovan-Transnistrian War that occurred during and just after the collapse of the Soviet Union. It is also very possible that this person was also a member of the Soviet Armed Forces and possibly also decorated by them.
