I do too. It's soldiers like Corporal Vehicle Mechanic & Master Driver Ivan Feofilovich Shkirko who were the back bone of the Red Army. It's nice to read about an award to a fighter pilot, tank commander, general, or admiral, but it seems their glory would be less so without the supportive efforts of Comrade Coporal Shkirko and millions of other men and women like him. It seems to me to be all of a piece. Without this part, the whole is diminished.
