I bought this two medals (Bravery medal and OPW 2nd class) from a retired police officer.
He said that he got them from a co-worker whose father had died.
Supposedly he exchanged this two medals during the war with a prisoner for food.
I can't even follow that story. A policeman's fellow policeman's father, presumably a German policeman?, traded food to a Soviet prisoner for these back in the day?
Cute story. It may have happened but the odds that the story is true are pretty high.
Let me tell you about the story of my T1 BM: I bought it, for a fair price, from the best dealer on the planet; Alexei Merezhko. I'm thrilled with it. End of story. :D
Like you say 'Do not buy the story, buy the medal'. Words to live by.
