Agreed ... I'm pretty certain it's Warsaw Pact as well.
I found your previous post. Nobody was 100% certain, but the consensus was probably Czech pilot wings.
I still wonder why it would have the big rocket if it was for a pilot? Maybe it's just the contrail of a shooting red star:rolleyes:
I'll keep digging and see what I can find.
It looks like it's at least from the 70's ... too heavy to be aluminum. Since there's interest, I've posted a photo of the reverse.
It also has a larger orange plastic disc so it looks nicer on the uniform ... not sure if that would have been issued with the badge or if it's just a scrap piece of plastic that a soldier added.
