Guys,
I recently gathered a little bit of information about this order:
. It was founded either in 1931 or in 1947 (information is contradictory). I tend to lean for the later date, as the Statutes of the Order were published by the Ministry of the Spanish Republic in exile in Paris in 1947.
. It was awarded apparently up to Franco's death, as long as the "Spanish Government" was exiled in Paris.
. There seems to be different classes: so far, we have a Star of the order, I have found mentions of Commander level, and I have photo evidence of a knight badge as well as a bronze medal to the Order. I would venture that there were 5 classes to the order (Grand-Cross, Grand-Officer, Commander, Officer and Knight) and one or two levels of Medals to the Order.
. The orders may have been manufactured by Arthus Bertrand in Paris (we need confirmation of hallmarks on existing specimens).
