In the battle for Dimitrovsk-Orlovskij showed himself a steely, decisive mechanised driver. Skilfully drove the vehicle forward even though the vehicle had been hit and a round had passed through the hull and had no commander, the commander had been killed. Skilfully manoeuvred the vehicle assisting the crew to lay down intense fire on the enemy artillery.
