Hello comrades! Today I am proud to share with the community the very special jubilee medal I received from Russia today. It is the medal for 70 years of victory in the Great Patriotic War. This is the official medal awarded to all surviving veterans. The medal I received also came with the original document (no name written inside). It's a real beauty!! This jubilee medal has the most bling of all the GPW jubilee medals I have seen! Here's a link to the Russian Wikipedia that talks about this very special medal. https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%AE%D0%...%B3.%C2%BB
I wanted to honor the victory over Nazi Germany, and this medal was something I really wanted! Does anyone know what the medal is made out of? Is it silver plated brass and enamels? It is VERY shiny. But I suppose it's shiny because it's brand new XD. I mounted the medal to my uniform, seemed appropriate!
