It is not surprising that this rare Mongolian Badge, one of the rarest, is being faked now. BEWARE of this FAKE! Someone is trying to sell this fake badge at one of the Russian forums. The enamel is of low quality (not a hot enamel but cold). Also the details of the sword and sword handle show the difference. The Roman number 10 or X is sloppy too and the details of the 12 and 22 (in old Mongol numbers) are less pronounced. The same about the sword.
The reverse also has multiple problems. The screwpost pole was soldered in a customary way. The numbering is very sloppy. The edges of the badge at 11 and 1 o'clock are too rounded. The original badges have more or less concave reverses while this one has a rather flat reverse. Also the concave imprint of the Soyombo letter somehow missed the stamped imprint. The original badges show exact imprints of the Soyombo reflected on the reverse while on this badge, the front and back imprints miss each other.
