Well unless a BRD section is formed they do not really belong any any section we have right now :)
They are not really fantasy piecies either, they were or are issued to the few remaining living ''Spanienkämpfer'' and maybe relatives by the Kämpfer und Freunde der Spanischen Republik 1936–1939 e. V. (KFSR) which is a club formed in Berlin 2001.
As Ed said, unofficial German award would be correct.
