Air Marshal Uniforms
Just wanted to show the forum a great looking set that came in for Air Marshal Kudyakov. Its the uniform he wore at the 1945 "Victory Parade" in Moscow. Note the light blue collar and cuffs only used for air marshals.

There are no M1945 uniform for anyone other than Generals, Marshals and Admirals. There is no such thing as a "Victory parade" uniform for offiers or enlisted personnel. The uniforms they wore in the parade were M1943 parade uniforms even though few of those were actually issued until 1945.

Khudyakov
SC is correct, officers an EM's new parade uniforms were M1943 and did not change in 1945 as the generals and marshals did.
As for Khudyakov, he is already on his way to his new home to join Voroshekin. Both should be in the new Schiffer book on uniforms of generals and marshals. I have word though that they won't be together too long as my client does not need both and might be looking to move Voroshekien. Will be fun to compare the two when they are together. DougD |
