Visor hat and rain
hi guy's
i was just wondering.:confused: since these caps are made of just cotton and cardbord. in a mile rain the cap would be soked for weeks. let alons snow or sutch thing. and than all the proud of your uniform would be gone:laff is there any thing the russian's used to cover the cap in sutch weather?:idea they tended to be good at finding solusions.:thumbsup here in the netherlands the police and militairy has transparend covers with elastic to put on the top. kind regards ser-g |

Never saw such cover for russians. We americans use those too. I assume smart thing to do is use umbrella?

i can't understand how the gloriose army of the soviets would cope with a soked hat, it would surely be a crack in the proud.:confused::chuckle
one does not feel very proud with a hanging soked hat.:thumbsdown and than the umbrella thing ,, nice pink ones to help the proud even more :laff |

I know that soviet navy ushanki had rainproof covers, but no such thing for visor caps. But I thing that large m69 caps were quite easy to dry over fire...

covers
There were covers for peaked caps, but on a VERY limited basis it would seem, mostly it seems for ceremonial units; see the thread about the Cavalry 1977 officer, there is a pic of a cover.
