"Transnistrian" can be used as an adjective for the breakaway or separatist region, but it cannot be called a country anymore than the Chechen-Ingushetia Republic could (can?) be called a country. It doesn't look "Russian", but try to defend its independence or existence to anyone...

For that matter, Caesar's Palace has pretended to be a country since the 1950's with its own "currency", "flag", motto "Hail Caesar" etc., but no one takes them seriously.

Good luck to anyone travelling on a "Transnistrian" passport.

I accept all Caesar's Palace currency in trade, however ;). The Transnistrian (Pridnistrovan) ruble is a different story, however.
