Bob,

The boards are slip on, for such things as a winter coat. I have a set for a Lt.General on a heavy winter jacket (circa 1990) that I use to take the dog out in the dead of winter. As stated before, they were late Soviet / early RF issue.

Sorry for the delay in photos, but here are very similar boards for a Lt.General with the same slip on style...on a Soviet Army heavy, short, winter jacket.
