Gentlemen,
The only award Lenin had received was Order of Labor of the Khoresm Socialist Republic in 1922. By that time he was already seriously ill and had never accepted it personally. After Order of the Red Banner of the RSFSR was established in 1918 it was proposed to award the first one to Lenin, but he had declined because he had never actually been in combat. Interestingly, after his death his body was displayed with an Order of the Red Banner on his suit. It was a general understanding that Lenin just had to have this highest revolutionary award. According to another story an old Lenin's comrade Podvoisky, standing in the honor guard near the body, had put his own Order into the coffin. Alexei |

The first person I've ever seen awarded the Lenin Peace Prize. Was this awarded as a result of the Cuban missle problems in the 1960's?
Kind Regards, Shane Cook. |

Two interesting questions (Lenin / Stalin)
Just browsing around the web looking for stuff.
Came across huge archive of pictures on Lenin. He doesnt seem to have any awards. Was he awarded with anything at all? Would be interesting to see him being awarded with Order of Lenin. Second Stalin seems to have a 1st order of Suvorov on his left side. DO we know what he got it for. And where is it right now.
