UNKVD/Weapon Document Group Vartanes Hristoforovich Pogosjan.

Here is a group of four documents named to Vartanes Hristoforovich Pogosjan dating from the late 1930's and early 1940's.

First is his "Reregistration Of Arms Held" Booklet dating from 1935 with the registration of Korovin Pistol #169153 issued by the UNKVD of the SSRG of the ZSFSR (Administration Of The People's Commissariat Of Internal Affairs Of The Soviet Socialist Republic Of Georgia Of The Transcaucasian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic).

Is it just me or is that a Leather jacket in his photograph?

The same in Russian for those of us who don't understand Georgian.

From the 13th January 1939 "Form #1" once again listing his Korovin and stating his possition as "Inspector".

A 16th January 1939 "Receipt" for his Pistol supplied by Tbiltorg (Tbilisi Trains).

Finally a document that would have been very highly valued to many Soviets a "Certificate Of Exemption From Military Duty". Pogosjan was probably doing far too good a job inspecting Tbilisi to be called up.
