Here is a rather strange item from a People's Republic. Part of the story of Bulgaria's unique transition.

This certificate dates from 1950 which is the mid-point for Bulgarian Exarchate official certificates in communist Bulgaria. The Bulgarian Exarchate was banned from issuing certificates from 1944 to 1947 by the communist authorities and the Exarchate also ended its schism and reverted to being the Bulgarian Orthodox Church in 1953. This certificate is also written in modern Bulgarian so will have been printed in 1947 or later and is not a remnant of the Tsarist Church.
