Finally his Patriotic War II #6623323. Over 45 years to catch up!

Very impressive grouping. He did some hard fighting in the last months of the war.

It certainly is something else. The catch-up being right towards the end of the run of Patriotic War IIs.

When he had been put forward for the award it was a "higher" award but in late 1990 is was the poorer of the two Jubilee awards. It is somewhat surprising that the level of award was not reconsidered considering so many people had received the award for simply "surviving" in the previous 5 1/2 years. A very quirky set of Patriotic Wars.
