Left one is also militia, for parade uniform. Right one is not for major, the large star is wrong. The rank is at sergeant-level.

Thanks Paul, Tretov and Vvadim! :thumbsup
I've had those in a box together with many other boards, but I had never been able to identify what they were for. So to fix the sergeant major, I should remove the star. What about the Soviet Union Coat of Arms? I assume this doesn't belong there either? Too bad someone wanted to "improve" the boards, but ended up messing with them and making unneeded holes. Re: Help needed to identify to shoulder boards pairs...
Hi,
This is sort of related...I have this uniform button dated 1954 and it has 8 ribbons on the right side, 8 ribbons on the left side and one ribbon in the middle/bottom. That makes 17 ribbons. Any thoughts? |
