Here is a Certificate Of Invalid Of The Patriotic War issued to Second Group Invalid Guards Colonel Iosif Georgievich Mironenko on 3rd May 1977 by the Kiev City Military Commissariat.

Mironenko's picture is an older one, but he is still caked in awards.

Fortunately, Military Unit 39234 (79th Guards Rifle Division - which had been the 284th Rifle Division during the Battle Of Stalingrad, holding Mamaev Kurgan) had issued him with a Document on 14th May 1947 indicating that the Guards Colonel was indeed entitled to the full chest.

Mironenko was born in 1902 and joined the Red Army in 1918. Strangely, his Medal "For The Defence Of Stalingrad" Act states his service as well as position. "Participant of the Battle For Stalingrad in the staff of the 62nd Army in the position of head of the operational section for crossing across the Volga". At the time of the awarding Act, May 1943, he was a Guards Lieutenant-Colonel, Deputy Commander of the rear of the 27th Guards Rifle Division (Another Stalingrad unit, that joined the 62nd Army after the battle, 65th Army previously.)
