Army Peaked cap: 1955/57 or 1958/69?

Hello:
I was hesitant to whether this cap, (dating from the year 1959) is the period Zhukov, particularly the uniform service. That is a cap would be abolished manufactured after this model.

The other possibility is that it was a cap of uniform service after abolished the uniform Zhukov.
What is your opinion?
Thanks

Neferet,

From these pictures, it looks like a 1960~70's cap to me.

Lapa,

My doubt was in the year of manufacture (1959), in the limit of changes in the uniforms and caps. I had it classified, by his design, like pertaining to period 1958/1969.
Thanks

Could 59 be the hat size?

If it is a really, really big hat, that would be my guess

By American standads, thats an average size... By Russian standards... Well, I'll leave it for you to decide in case I might offend someone...

Hello:

Height is 58. It can be seen clearly in the picture.

The truth is that in order to identify and classify the caps sometimes have big problems, especially since so far (Spain). For example, this cap dated 1967, staging ceremonial special forces. It has a Cocarde which was regulated in 1970. The doubt is that if its owner, it added once authorized.
Replacing the Cocarde or is left as an example that changes in regulations on uniforms was somewhat progressive and gradual?
Great doubt .... Can you deal with it?

I hope that this image is the size 58 and on the label can be seen (albeit with difficulty 1959).

Greetings

Well, since there were hat sizes of 53 in both DDR and Soviet Union (which would equal a child size here), 59 could be considered a very large size. I would say, and agree with Willie, that 59 is size average or a bit larger than average.

59-60-61+ is sometimes referred to by my russian friends as "elephant sizes".

With the risk of going off-topic, but is there a difference in how hats are worn in Russia compared to other parts of the world? While I feel more confident having a hat almost resting on the ears, it is sometimes seen in photos from ex-USSR hats being worn more "on top" of the head; which would allow the usage of considerably smaller sizes.
