Sniper's Badge

Was established by Decision of the Central Executive Committee and the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR by the end of 1929.

Made out of bronze, silver and decorated with hot baked enamel.

Note - on the reverse of the badge are engraved the name and surname of the bearer, as well as the date of the competition, distance and the score.

You must be kidding. Nice enamel, 1929, named. $50!!! I think that if you paid that for it you got a good deal. I would have guessed much higher.

If you bought it for $50 that's a terrific deal. There are many collectors of shooting memorabilia, who would easily pay a $100 for this badge.

Well,

I am actually a bit wrong here when I said $50.

I saw this badge on eBay for opening bid of around $50, but there was also reserve price (I am not sure what the reserve was).

I did not know what was the last bid, but I saw the same badge for sale again, meaning that it did not sell first time.
