The first visor hat is very good and it's not a fake. It has so many stamps because it was kept in some kind of museum or theatre. It has "INV" stamp what means "INVENTORY ITEM".

If its owner will sometimes decide to sell it - I'd like to buy it. ;) Very good hat except its small size...

Shoulder boards of lieutenant-colonel of Army medical service for field (gimnasterka) uniform.

As previous but with other type of material of shoulder boards.
Shoulder boards of captain of Army medical service for field (gimnasterka) uniform.
These are for 1950th-1960th (till 1969).

Shoulder board of leutenant-colonel of Navy medical service (1980-91) with embroidered emblem and stars. Embroidered emblem and stars were not offivial issue. Officer was able to order military sewing studios to make such shoulder boards for payment.

Tretov, I agree, I think that it was for medical supplies; the lining is very strong as well, and seems to be made of a waterproof (bloodproof!) material!

Hello! The uniform is real nice! But this type of uniform was parade and I don't think that doctor used medical supplies wearing this uniform.

No, most likely not. It was intended more or less as a joke :) although the pockets would surely fit a band-aid :)

Hi!
Very good greatcoat with scare collar tabs!

As this coat has light grey colour - it's parade greatcoat.

You can use 2 types of shoulder boards:
1) If you want to make greatcoat 1955-62 you must use wide silver shoulder boards with red piping (4-sided)
1) If you want to make greatcoat post 1962 you must use wide light grey shoulder boards with red piping (4-sided)

Hope this will help you.

I can try to help you with finding of this boards if you tell me what type of greatcoat you prefer to make: 1955-62 or post 1962.

As for such scare colour of medical collar tabs - I'd like to show you pair of collar tabs for veterinary officer's duty jacket.

Either one will work. I've had this for over a year and have been unable to find shoulderboards for it. You mentioned 4-sided boards. I was told that I needed 6-sided slip-on boards as the coat has epaulettes.

:thumbsup:thumbsup Doc

I didn't see at your coat any devices for slip-on-boards at its shoulders :) That's why you are not able to use 6-sided slip-on boards. By the way, you were told about such boards as I shown yesterday. http://www.soviet-awards.com/forum/a...majormedic-jpg
Production of greatcoats with slip-on-boards was canceled in 1958.

Alex,
It has a loop at the shoulders and a hole where the button would be sewn/attached for slip-on boards like the ones you just showed me.
