slava1stclass,
one of NY dealers (who's also a member of this forum) recently sold a set that would fall into one of your top categories. It was complete - with order book and cavalier booklet. Even then - about 4-5 months ago - the price wasn't bad - $4000. I was considering the set, but someone snapped it before I made decision. William |

William,
One of the Glorys had the serial number changed. That's why the set was so cheap. Oleg |

you're talking about different set of Glories. The one I am referring to had all original awards. It's still listed on dealer's site (marked SOLD). William |

William, We are talking about the same set. Take a closer look at glory 3 and you'll see what I'm saying. I've seen this set at the OMSA show in Philadelphia last year and it was only priced at $3000 and had 3 sertificates for each glory from McDaniel ;) . Oleg |

You're correct! I just looked at the photos and 3rd class SN doesn't look sharp. I was so sure bacause in the description that dealer has no mentioning of SN being modified. William |

William,
There were two different sets indeed - one was OK with all the documents and no problems. The other has a Glory 3rd with the serial number crudely erased. Interestingly I had this very set a couple of years ago and sold it with a different Glory 3rd at the customers request, keeping the mutilated Glory. I got this set back recently as a trade and reunited it back again with that Glory 3rd. Alexei |

Through the Roof
To all:
Received an offer for a Full Cavalier set with both OK and FC booklets plus research and some other documentation. Asking price: $8,550.00. As I've highlighted in this thread from the very start, top-of-the-line, well-documented Full Cavalier sets (Category 1 above) continue to demand top dollar. This fact is exacerbated all the more by today's very tight supply market (as the above asking price clearly demonstrates). The Order of Glory is also one of our favorite Soviet orders and was one of the first in our collection.
The clock on the tower disappears not because of wear, it ist always not there on many or all? pieces in the (high?) 200000s numbers range. It is produced without the pointers and the numbers on the clock. Here is a picture of Order of Glory 3rd class No 273745 / clock Janna & Sebastian |

First time I notice that detail. That is really amazing! My magnifiers are not strong enough to be 100% sure but it seems that in both my OG the clock is like those on pics #2 or #4, even if I suspect that in one of my Orders it could point to 5 to 9 (8:55).
This is indeed weird! Fellow experts, any opinions? Dolf |
