Gents,

I've since identified the medal in post # 5 above. It is the Czech Medal for Gallantry in the Presence of the Enemy.

I was also curious to see actual examples - OBVERSE & REVERSE, as I have been offered some and the past and have seen them offered for sale online - However, I was somewhat skeptical because I have been advised that they are are, and have been reproduced for a number of years already.

The neck scarf and appropriate age category say "Pioneer" to me.

That would have been my thought. Formed in 1922, I think? She'd be an early member.

I saw man of your and medal73's threads with many interesting photos and their stories. Do you own all those photos physically(original in paper in your collection) or do you look them up somewhere?

The bird seems to be a falcon. May be a member of the sokol panslav movement. In 1923, the russian branch was banned by the Soviet authorities.

Thanks. If that is true, I doubt the guys behind her in uniform made it through the 1936-38 period (regardless of their rank or awards).

Closeups on the two chaps in uniform. All comments will be welcomed.
