Dolf,

There are at least 5 or 6 variations with different time, and 2 (if memory serves me right) with time impossible to tell.

Gentlemen,

Just posting a couple of pics of a 3rd Class (T2V1) with goldish look.
It has a 1st Class look but I bought it as a 3rd Class, for the usual price of a 3rd Class, so no one tried to deceive me.

Alexei, this is the piece I recently mentioned on email, remember?
Can you please remind me why the goldish look?
Thanks.

Dolf

Rusty,

Well I don't think that someone goldplated it!
At least I don't think that was the reason given by the seller, for that goldish look. I vaguely remember something else, but can't remember what exactly.

Alexei knows why so let's wait for his reply.

There´s something I´d like to ask.
I have noticed that most of the OGs you show have a very soft orange ribbon, almost yellow. Why mine is so orange? Is that common in one of the types and/or variations?

Esteban,

Yours is perfectly ok, the others more pale have probably more wear I guess, or got more sun! :idea

Might be, but in that case shouldn´t they have excessive wear too as mine? This one has already ripped once...

Esteban,

I also noticed that detail and thought about it but couldn't find no explanation!
Unless as I suggested those more pale simply were more exposed to the sunlight, can't find no other reason!
Maybe one of the experts might help!

Best,

Dolf

About the colour of ribbons, can't it theoretically be a small difference between the manufacturers? Later produced (replacement) ribbons may have differed slightly, maybe a different type of thread were used for the matherial, small differences may become visible by the years.
