Eugene,

Really ? I thought, as Jussi-Pekka, that only one Red Banner #7 had been awarded, to Air General-Major Michael Ivanovich Burtsev.
Isn't it correct ?
Who are the others ?

Ch.

Eugene,

Could you please tell more?

Burtsev's 7th Red Banner (which is in Moscow) is also mentioned in Mondvor sites as only one 7th award.

Jussi-Pekka

Guys, you confused the only observed s/n with number of awardees.
It's known that Burtsev has received Red Banner N7 with s/n 1. I saw the image of his group with order book. If Mondvor site doesn't who received Red Banner N7 s/n 2, it doesn't mean it wasn't awarded.
Among people who received seven Red Banners Kogedub I. N. and Pstigo I. I.
As a matter of fact, Pstigo I. I. had eight Red Banners, but his eihgt Red Banner was a regular one and didn't have N8.

Eugene,
that is interesting information.

BTW: The auction house took away the 8th award from the selling list just before the auction because it was a fake. They didn't noticed that
themselves(!) but so many collctors had told about that to them!

I don't know yet what happened to the 7th award.

Unusual Red Banner - Mirror Reverse type with mint mark

Gentlemen,

Here's quite unusual Red Banner - Mirror Reverse type.

Couple odd things about this one:
1) has mint mark - there not supposed to be one.
2) serial number is too high for this variation

Any thoughts?

William

Vlad,

Is there a pic of the obverse?

I don't think it's genuine...

Rusty.
