Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
Order "Red Banner Of Labour" #1067439 Type 6 Variation 2.
If you do not yet have one of these in your collection you are only punishing yourself. An absolute must for anyone even slightly interested in Soviet awards.

Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
Hey Guys,
Don't know if this has already been covered before but here goes! The T6V2 Sub Var 1 is distinguishable by the word "DVOR" being smaller and the Serial Number not being underlined? The T6V2 Sub Var 2 is distinguisable by the word "DVOR" being large and the Serial Number being underlined? I was inspecting my RBoL's yesterday and noticed a difference between 2 that i hadn't seen be mentioned anywhere before. The difference in the Thickness of the ridge on the sickle! Var 1 on the left, Var 2 on the right. Only a tiny difference really, but does this ring true on any of your RBoL's? Cheers, Tommy |

Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
Cruising through the Mondvor site it seems to agree with your suppositions. My two later versions seem to share the same sickle profile.
I'd assume just a manufacturer's variation of some sort.

The thicker one i have is in the 605k range, early 1972 production i think. produced in the Leningrad Jewellry Factory.
The thinner one is in the 1Mill range, 1975 construction. Produced in Moscow Mint. So they got thinner with time, The opposite of most of us here i would imagine! Order of the Red Banner of Labour #209,696 1951 Leningrad Mint Piece. |

Re: Red Banner Of Labour.
Could anyone guess the date of issue of an ORBL numbered 312,xxx? I'm thinking 1954. Thanks!
