In all fairness I must say that while it is true that medals for foreigners generally came with a more sophisticated clasp, I was never able to find information confirming that only that particular type of suspension had to be used.

Hello. Today I have got this Distinguished Labor with document. It is still a low cost medal, I don't think it would be convenient to fake it, anyhow your comments will be appreciated.

Sergio, I don't see anything to worry about. These have always been one of my favorite medals - simplicity is beautiful.

All is genuine, don't worry. The only "detail" slightly off is that the medal is of a more recent vintage than the booklet; for that time period, it should have a flat struck ring.

All genuine, but from different sources...and epoch :(
Anyhow, I am happy that the booklet is ok, that's what I was looking for, but in order to have it I had to buy also the medal...:D

It is amazing that I have two medals of Distinguished Labor, from different sellers, and by chance they are identical in every detail, including the (wrong) brass type suspension! :confused:

Actually, these brass suspensions were used all the way up to the late 1950's.
