Snicker all you want. She's a HSL, not to mention a Lenin x3, and a lot more, to boot. I doubt she'd care what you think.
Plus, I'll bet she could still knock the snot out of more than half of us anyway. :)

An Interesting Mix
Gents,
It's not all too often that you come across a Double Order of Ushakov 1st Class and Order of Kutuzov 1st Class awardee. Col Gen V. V. Yermanchenkov fits the bill. What makes it even more unusual is that while the majority of his career was spent in the Soviet Naval Air Force, he is seen here in what appears to be a standard air force uniform. Two Hanging Suvorov 2s
Gents,
HSU Guards Lt Gen S. I. Baranov commanded the 18th Guards Rifle Corps, 7th GA, 2nd Ukrainian Front. Awarded two OLs, four ORBs, two Orders of Suvorov 2nd Class, an Order of Bogdan Khmelnitskiy 2nd Class, an Order of the Red Star and a Mongolian Order of the Red Banner (1939). Africa de Las Eras (Cover Name: Patriya)
Gents,
Continuing the illegal resident agent theme. She held the rank of Colonel and was also awarded the "Honorary Worker of State Security" badge. Member of the Spanish Communist Party. Col de Las Eras worked for Soviet State Security for over 45 years. Began her association with Soviet foreign intelligence in 1937 fulfilling special missions in various countries. After the GPW, she received specialized training and then served 22 years on assignments in Europe and later in a Latin American country. Fom 1967 through 1970 she was dispatched on three foreign TDY assignments to accomplish important tasks that HQs would not entrust to anyone else. Passed away in March 1988. Regards, slava1stclass |
