Re: Fake "Defense of" Campaign Medals

Thanks guys. What had me suspicious was the sunbleached ribbon with the relatively uncirculated medallion as well as the rendering of the Peter & Paul fortress on the medal. Could be my eyes though. :)

Re: Fake "Defense of" Campaign Medals

I think the strange way it has been cleaned (the ribbon plate for example) does give it a "think twice" look. The sun-bleaching may have occurred whilst on display rather than in wear.

Perfectly fine Leningrad in a good condition. Nothing to worry about. Enjoy it.

Re: Medal "For The Defence Of Kiev".

I just bought a lot of medals that included a Medal for the Defense of Kiev, but I am not sure if it is authentic. I have seen some copies, but they were really low quality. Can I get an opinion on this one?

Only the medal please, so we can not see anything.

Sorry these were the photos provided by the dealer. I don't have higher quality ones yet.

I agree, but it is always a risk with pictures so small.

You're right. It's always better to post better pictures.
