Funny, but I still remember were I was (parking lot of the Rouge axle plant, hearing it on my car radio), when news broke of the coup in 1991. One of those moments in politics/history.
I can remember in the early 90's Barqes root beer commercials Giving away soviet items like uniforms and flags and what not if you bought X amount of Barqes root beer.
