The poppy is far from an obsolete thing here in Britain and it has even been known that some people have been persecuted for not wearing one in November. In fact, there are annual poppy "least we forget" postage stamp series and even larger poppies for vehicles to wear.

Cupro-Nickel sounds about right. No loss to me.
