That is a really special group but I don't know how the Major General could have worn it because they are really heavy. The 2 Orders of Dimitriov (the ones on the far right) weigh over 30 grammes each being solid gold. To date the only Bulgarian orders or medals that I know have been copied are the Demetriovs.Like another member mentioned most medals and orders are available and relatively cheap so it is just not worth copying them yet.

Weight of Medal Bars
Keith,
it could be that the general never wore these medal bars but displayed them somewhere. The orders weigh 460 gram and the medals 240 gram for a total of 700 gram. He received the Hero Star that belongs to one of the Dimitrov Orders in 1985 on his 80th birthday. The picture below shows him with a ribbon bar.

Guys,
What are you talking about here? Soviet orders were as heavy, or even heavier, than most of these. An Order of Victory alone weighs close to 250g! 700g of orders and medals is quite a bit, but nothing overly outrageous; ask Ustinov for one with his 11 orders of Lenin (also solid gold and close to 35g apiece) plus all the small change, or try Zhukov with 2 Orders of Victory and a few other insignificant bits and pieces.
